Our Home Birth package, which includes prenatal care, homebirth, postpartum care, and newborn care is $5500.

You may have a consultation with your midwife about your eligibility for homebirth if you have had one prior low-transverse cesarean.

• Comprehensive prenatal care
• Ordering and drawing of laboratory blood tests/specimens
• Routine medical care (including ordering of prescription medications if needed)
• In-office bedside (limited ultrasound) if desired- offered at every visit
• Ordering of Anatomy Scan ultrasound at 20 weeks
• 36 week home visit
• Attendance of birth + cleanup
• Emergency equipment and medications
• Immediate postpartum care
• Suturing postpartum perineal tears
• Breastfeeding support
• Postpartum home visit
• Newborn care for the 1st month of life
• Newborn metabolic screen, hearing screen, jaundice screen, cardiac screening (same tests as the hospital offers)
• Postpartum care for 6-8 weeks postpartum
• Extended postpartum care for months 3, 6, 9, and 12 for prevention and treatment of perinatal mood disorders
• Papsmear postpartum if needed/desired

• Costs for Laboratory tests (may use insurance/Medicaid )
• Cost for consultation with FMCC and Anatomy Ultrasound (may use insurance/Medicaid)
• Rhogam if needed ($300; $150 per dose, ordered for 28 weeks).
• Birth Pool Rental ($150 if desired)
• Homebirth Kit (around $70-$100)- purchased through Precious Arrows)
• Any hospital transfer or emergency services utilized during pregnancy, birth, or postpartum (may use insurance or Medicaid)

A $500 non-refundable deposit is due at 12 weeks or your first prenatal visit. This reserves your space on our due date calendar.

At 24 weeks, $2000 is due.

At 36 weeks, the remaining $3000 due. 

You must be paid in full for Happy Hearts Homebirth to attend your birth. 

Yes! We are proud to offer two extended payment plans for our clients. 

Both payment plans have financing fees. 

Our personal financing plan requires direct debit from your ACH/bank account, 50% down  and $50 per month financing fee. 

United Credit is our alternate payment plan provider, with varying fees and APR% based on credit score.

We are not in network with insurance, however, your insurance may reimburse some of your services with Happy Hearts Homebirth. You may inquire with your insurance about a GAP exception or what your out-of-network benefits are. 

Yes, we collaborate with Fertility and Midwifery Care Center (FMCC) in Fort Wayne, Indiana and transfer to DuPont Hospital in labor if needed and non-emergent. 

Midwife Alyssa is certified in BLS, and Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP). Her birth assistants are trained in all emergency management related to birth. 

We carry oxygen, resuscitation equipment for babies, and emergency medications for all situations. We carry the same medications that are available in the hospital delivery rooms, including IV medications. 

We currently will be seeing patients in our Historic Victorian home office located in Huntington, Indiana.
