At Happy Hearts Women’s Healthcare, we offer a one-of-a-kind collaborative care experience: receive personalized prenatal and postpartum care with Midwife Alyssa, a Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM), in a warm and supportive setting in Huntington, Indiana—while also having the peace of mind of hospital birth support through Fertility and Midwifery Care Center (FMCC) at Dupont Hospital in Fort Wayne.

You’ll enjoy the best of both worlds:

• 1:1 private midwifery care throughout your pregnancy
   
• In-hospital doula/monitrice support from a licensed CNM
   
• Expert postpartum and newborn care at home

All your routine prenatal visits take place in our cozy, welcoming office in Huntington. As a CNM, Alyssa provides expert, evidence-based care—focused on building trust, honoring your birth choices, and promoting a healthy pregnancy.

Accepted patients include:
• First-time parents
• Prior vaginal or cesarean births
• Families planning a VBAC

Alyssa brings experience in both low- and high-risk pregnancies, supporting you with tailored guidance in nutrition, exercise, herbal medicine (if desired), and compassionate clinical monitoring for both you and baby.

For those that require medication management, Midwife Alyssa is a licensed prescriber and can manage Rx medications and meet your needs throughout pregnancy and postpartum.

Around 20 weeks, you’ll meet with the team at Fertility and Midwifery Care Center (FMCC) in Fort Wayne for a consultation and your Anatomy Ultrasound. Additional visits are available based on your needs and preferences.

When labor begins, Midwife Alyssa will be by your side—either at home or meeting you at Dupont Hospital—to provide continuous support as your doula/monitrice. You’ll give birth with the FMCC hospital team, while still benefiting from Alyssa’s skilled presence, emotional reassurance, and advocacy throughout labor and delivery.

If you and your Midwife agree, Home birth may be an option for your birth. We offer amazing, gentle, specialized birth services in the home environment for those that desire a birth outside the traditional hospital birth mold. 

After you have returned from the hospital, you and your baby will receive expert care during the postpartum healing time (including an in-home visit). From breastfeeding support to physical healing, we will care for you like family. 

Midwife Alyssa is Perinatal Mental Health- Certified as a provider. If you have struggled in the past, or worry you might struggle with perinatal anxiety or depression, we will support you through a variety of ways to assure you have the care you deserve.
