Yes! Homebirth can be very safe! If you are having a healthy, normally progressing pregnancy, chances are very high that you will have a healthy, normal birth. Your birth team are highly trained and skilled birth professionals, trained in management of all emergencies. We carry all medications and equipment that will assure the highest quality of care for mom and baby.
Midwife Alyssa is a Board Certified Nurse-Midwife with a Doctorate degree in Nursing Practice, and Masters Degree in Nurse-Midwifery from the top Nurse-Midwifery program in the Nation (Frontier Nursing University). She has worked in hospitals, birth centers, and homes, and has helped thousands of moms and babies navigate the pregnancy and birth journey.
Our Birth Assistants are Registered Nurses and Birth Techs that are trained in labor support, breastfeeding, and emergency management.

Midwife Alyssa is dual-certified as a Certified Nurse-Midwife and Certified Professional Midwife. She is licensed as a CNM/APRN in the states of MO and IN. Certified Nurse-Midwives are Registered Nurses with Master’s Degrees or Doctorates in Nursing and are board certified by a national midwifery organization. Certified Nurse-Midwives in Indiana are required to have a collaborating physician. They can prescribe medications, and catch babies in homes, birth centers, and hospitals.
Midwife Alyssa completed a Master’s degree from the top nurse-midwifery program in the nation and holds a Doctorate in Nursing Practice degree. She has post-graduate training in obstetric and neonatal emergency management, and participates in continuing education to maintain the most current information and evidence-based practices. She has been practicing professionally both in and out-of-hospital as a midwife for several years. She also worked f as a staff nurse on a high-risk labor & delivery unit prior as well as a cardiac nurse prior to becoming a certified nurse-midwife. She has been certified in Basic Life Support and Neonatal Resuscitation Provider, and participated in many rigourous obstetric emergency programs. She is also a trained and experienced doula and certified HypnoDoula.
